Schools are assigned a value from 1-100, where 100 is best for students from households earning up to $30,000. Our most affordable school rankings are based on the average cost for students who receive at least $1 in federal aid. To be included in this list, the earnings of a school's attendees, minus the earnings of a typical high school graduate, must be at least enough to pay off their educational investment. In other words, 'affordability' means the lowest cost schools that offer positive economic benefit.
