Dr. John M. Usher

Dean in the College of Engineering at the University of South Alabama

Dr. Usher is the Dean in the College of Engineering at the University of South Alabama. He has spent 34 years in higher education, previously serving as Professor and Department Head of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University. He holds several degrees in both chemical engineering and industrial engineering. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers and a senior member of both the SME and the American Society of Engineering Education. He serves as an ABET program evaluator for industrial engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Mississippi.
